Yes...I've removed Entrecard!

I've decided, for personal reasons, to remove Entrecard from my blog. I may return to "dropping" in January but for now my attention is required elsewhere.

I would like to thank everyone who visited, dropped and left their encouraging, kind and complimentary comments regarding my blog.

When I joined Entrecard my idea was to increase traffic for my blog, which it did, far more than I could have imagined in such a short while. I know traffic will now be greatly reduced, which I understand!

I've met many talented wonderful people through this little widget, people I would never have come in contact with other wise...that alone has made Entrecard worthwhile!

Cheers

  2. Yes, I noticed because when i was still dropping here more frequently using EC, i always see that at top right position. But this time, i am here because of your comment in other blogs and not of entrecard.

I use EC too and my daily drops range from 50-100 for my two blogs. I have put more emphasis on commenting and to duild lasting connection between fellow bloggers. My traffic is not as high as i used to drop 200-300 but at least now my blog is more interactive. ^_^

  3. I agree with the traffic and with the new entrebar that was added few days back, entrecard is even more innovative. How i wish i can have some more time to explore it. I will still be here if i see your links around- I just go from blog to blog and visit people who actively comment on others' blogs. I guess that is some kind of reward... or so i think.

  5. I came across your post as I was dropping cards. I did the same as you -- signed up for Entrecard to try to increase traffic to my blog. Traffic has increased, and I've actually found some really nice blogs during the course of my dropping. I'm always on the lookout for fellow Etsy sellers, and every time I find one I mark it as a favorite.

Anyway! Best of luck with your decision. It is definitely a time commitment, and I've wondered whether I should continue it or not.

Best of luck, too, with your Etsy shop!
    :-)

  6. Oh no, I hope you keep blogging???

You were one of my favorite commenters........and only neighbor.

Neighbour or neighbor.....Which is Canadian.......hmm or is it Canadienne...I get so confused typing English and French and now American!!! My new language is a combo of the 3 now.

Will miss you if you've stopped blogging.

@webbiestuffs...I'm the kind of person who felt as though I had to return the drop so when I got up to a minimum of 3 hrs a day I had to let it go...I have other commitments that require my attention for the time being!!!

thanks marylou...I drop again after Christmas...will see what happens...

Don't worry neighbor (Alan) :0)...I don't intend to stop blogging...just dropping EC's...I will be visiting my favorite blogs on a regular basis...don't worry about the spelling...it is the commenting that is important!!! Talk to you later...Alan

Cheers everyone...thank you for taking the time to comment...it is appreciated...

  8. I hope to continue visiting regardless of EC. EC is a tool; ultimately it is not the reason I am here. You are the reason I am here.

Best wishes being sent you way...right now my friend. I will stop by again.

  13. @boutique...personal commitments must take priority right now...I may try again in January...will see...

Thanks Heidi...I'm the type of person that feels badly if I don't reciprocate the drops and it was getting to the point that I was dropping a minimum of 3 hrs a day often up to 5...just can't take the time!!!

  14. ah, now I understand why you decided to drop EC. It was a marvelous marketing tool but you have to weigh the usage of your time for this tool versus things that you must get done.

I have seen EC card on several sites and contemplated using it, but still have not decided as yet...
