Sunsets & Silver!!!

This may seem like an odd combination but sunsets & silver are two of my favorite things...
This photo was taken last fall...before the water was "let down"...this is done in the fall to try to prevent spring flooding in the area...for the most part it works well!

Sterling silver discs, detailed, and attached to make a wonderful statement in sterling silver!

During the let down

Stamped sterling silver tear drops, from which hang purple fossil beads...

After the "let down"...I don't have a photo with all the snow...it is too darn cold...I'll have to dress warm and venture outside to get a shot of how cold and barren it looks now!

I just may keep this for myself...a gorgeous chunk of amethyst, simply wire wrapped and hung from a sterling silver chain...

Cheers

Thanks Pearl...I wanted to post the sunset shots but I hadn't posted any silver pieces lately so I figured why not combine like colors!

  6. Beautiful photo series! The last sunset picture really looks like a different landscape then the first, what a dramatic difference all that water makes!

  8. Thanks Mikki...something different!

Yes I know Emily...when the water is at normal levels it is up to our break wall, once it has been lowered we can walk out a long ways, which depends on how low the level is at the time...at least a 200 feet! The Conservation Authority has been dropping the levels in the fall for approx. ten years now as there was severe flooding on the west side of the lake one spring...our water levels were very high and we had damage but no actual flooding of our property/home.

Thanks Debbie...purple is my favorite...I'll post a few things from my class as time progresses...
    Cheers
