My son-in-law manages a family owned restaurant and we came to an arrangement to hold our "Silver Christmas", (which is what we called it) in the "Living Room" of his establishment, Cecil's Eatery and Beer Society, corner of Main & Wylde, downtown, North Bay. The "Living Room" is a party/conference room but the way it has been finished it has a charming atmosphere...the authentic brick walls, brass ceiling, and comfy leather chairs and tables create the perfect ambiance for what Dawn and I had in mind!!!
My daughter managed to snap a few photos before we opened, both of us have tried before to take photos of the set up during a show...but for what ever reason they didn't turn out well! These ones are presentable... This was the table at the entrance where guests filled out ballots for the door prize!
We set up two 8 foot tables with a small space in between...it was difficult to take a shot of both tables together ...but it gives you an idea!
This is the table to the left...
That's fantastic news Heather that your show was a success. I have to say judging by your profile photo you don't look old enough to have a son in law. The restaurant looks like it was the perfect place to set up your creations.
ReplyDeleteThe set up looks lovely! Glad your one woman show went well :-)

Whoa! A one woman show! That is a lot of work but you have an amazing inventory. Very inspiring. The set up and the location are both great.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your successful show. I can only day dream to be able to do a one woman show one day.

Success to you next show!
By the way, I love this new blog skin. Very X'masy :)
Davinia...LOL,rest assured I'm old enough, I'll let you in on a little secret, that photo is a year old, I have a few more lines and I color my hair, but shhhhh, don't tell anyone about the color!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy...it was a leap of faith!!!
Thanks Pearl...as I said it was try that or do "house shows" and I would prefer not to do them, having said that, I want to keep my customers happy...I'll try a few more, at Cecil's if it doesn't continue to be a "hit", I may have to think seriously about the "house shows", or possibly a store front...but at my age that is a last resort!
Thanks for stopping by ladies...I do appreciate the visit!
Cheers
