Couldn't Wait!!!

I've been waiting for about a week now for a brighter day, it really does make a tremendous difference in my photos ...unfortunately it has been gloomy and gray! I have two necklaces I want to show you...for today I have just the one because the other necklace is made with Swarovksi crystals and I just couldn't get their sparkle, so that one will wait!!!

Back in September I won three strands each of two different colored African bone beads... I won these on my friend Pearls blog, thebeadinggem.com . The beads were courtesy of For The Love of Beads an online Canadian bead shop.

It took me awhile but I don't like to make something until I "feel" like it...sometimes it just doesn't work. Here you have it...the African bone beads, brown/black agate, crazy lace agate(love this stone) spaced with pewter beads, finished with a butterfly toggle...if you compare the top photo of the beads and the bottom of the necklace you will see what I mean about the quality of the photo...the bead photo was taken on a brighter day and the color is much nicer, more accurate!

I'll have to take another on a brighter day and post it...as this photo doesn't do the necklace justice, if I do say so myself!!! :0)

Cheers

  1. Super pretty! More productive if we wait for the mood to hit than force ourselves to be creative.... :O)

  3. Lovely necklace! You really found a great way to bring out the blue shades in those bone beads - I'm so glad our beads ended up in such good hands! I hope you don't mind me showing off your work on our blog (with full credit to you and some links of course!)
Can't wait to see the other one!

  4. Yes Diane...some times I have to make pieces, especially if a show is coming up but I prefer to wait for the mood if I can!

Mountaindreamers, some of my favorite colors as well...but I'm sure most people know that! Thanks...

Emi...thank you, feel free to post/link...I just wish the photo was more true to color as the top photo...as you know the colors in the beads you sent are much more vibrant and intense than my photo shows!!!
