In the mail last Friday I received the gorgeous stoneware pendant shown below from Artbeads.com again it isn't your traditional red heart... there is nothing wrong with the traditional red hearts, some are very beautiful... but I thought this one made a great statement!
Also included was this lovely sterling silver heart toggle...I use heart toggles a great deal for my Heart & Stroke Series...that way even if the actual piece doesn't have a heart because the toggle is heart, I will make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
This is a very pretty chain...again all hearts, a little more delicate than I was thinking but that is my fault because I didn't pay attention to the sizes of the links, I do that sometimes ...never the less it will work nicely!
Everything together...
I love this heart...I'm torn between doing something detailed or putting it on a simple chain or black leather cord???
If you haven't all ready entered, don't forget to enter in the Artbeads.com contest for a $1000.00 Artbeads Gift Certificate...contest ends March 4th @ 11:59 pm (PST)...follow the link on the left!
Cheers

this is pretty Heather....
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of hearts myself.
the stone looks nice in black and white.
Hey Arlett...nice of you to visit...personally I'm not a fan of hearts either, but as you know I do the Heart & Stroke Series so I use them a great deal!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Yes sometimes hearts can be a little bit cutesy but that heart has a lot of possibilities, can't wait to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteHey Davinia...I do agree, often hearts are rather cutsey...I don't generally wear hearts myself, but I use them a great deal for my H & S Series.
ReplyDeleteThis particular heart caught my attention though...the black and white design made a striking statement I thought...
Thank you for stopping by.
Cheers
Hey Heather,
ReplyDeleteHonestly, that's a heart I would wear year round - not just on Valentine's Day.
Love the dainty heart chain too! And as always, I ♥ your photos. You've done a wonderful job of capturing the detail of the pendant and findings, and yet the background and props don't over power! A++ my dear!
Have a terrific evening!
Dawn
Can't wait to see what you do with these components Heather. They all look so beautiful. I'm a little excited myself as I've been invited to the Artbeads program. Just picked out my beads the other day and can't wait to get them in the mail!
ReplyDelete-Stephanie
My immediate thought was a simple spiral in black and white highlighted with some black and white heishi beads. I'm sure whatever you do it will be gorgeous and elegant.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you Dawn...as I've mentioned I'm not a heart person myself but I do love this particular one...thank you for your lovely words...they very much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteHey Stephanie, congratulations, it is such fun to be part of the Artbead.com program...thanks for your kind words...
Thanks for stopping by ladies...
Cheers
You know Mikki...I'm torn between a simple chain or leather cord or something more dramatic...not sure yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by...
Cheers
That heart is just perfect for those who don't like red and not totally sold on the Valentine season. I like it a lot! Great choice!
ReplyDeleteThat's one beautiful heart! And being black and white instead of red means it can be worn with almost anything and not just for valentine. I feel it would look nice and casual with just a cord, but a chain would be nice too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pearl...just what I thought as well!!!
ReplyDeleteI do agree Alex...a leather cord or chain is really all that is required...but having said that I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet!
Thanks for stopping by Pearl & Alex...
Cheers
I love the heart toggle! they are my favorite , a little secret hiding on the back of the neck, very sexy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura...I like to use interesting toggles, but it is difficult to get my customers to accept them...they don't feel they are safe so they want the lobster claw...I use a toggle for almost everything I wear. I make a fine silver forged bracelet that I make the toggle for and I refuse to put a lobster claw on it!!! :0)Having said that no has asked me to either...
ReplyDeleteCheers
I like the stone heart - it makes a change from the usual red hearts. It;s a pretty design and not too girly.
ReplyDeleteYes Kathryn...my sentiments exactly...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by...
Cheers
hey gorgeous, lush as usual! I love the delicacy of the heart chain! ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the button grab!
hugs
hello gorgeous xxx
I love the black and white heart and how generous of you to make a donation! You certainly have a big heart! Thanks for your kind comments on my blog today.
ReplyDeleteThat certainly is a lovely heart pendant! I can't wait to see what you do with it! I was very tempted by the heart chain - just how delicate is it? Do you think it will stand up to some wear and tear, or is it a little too malleable?
ReplyDeleteWonderful to visit you...and thank you for the kind compliments! I am sure happy to be here :)
ReplyDeleteI love your fresh new look on the heart design/style....it definitely reminds me of warmer days!
Very elegant and striking Heather! and the chain is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. and glad I found your blog again!
ReplyDeleteHi there! What a great pick on the stonewear heart!! I am not surprised especially since you are in such an art vibe! I also think the chain is wonderful! I am anxious to see what you come up with!!
ReplyDeleteI have a certain penchant for hearts and these are beautiful!!! I especially am enchanted with the heart bracelet!!! Just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe blue and white heart is lovely!! And love to silver heart toggle ~ all your jewelry is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteah ha...lots and lots of comments...HEARTS ROCK!!!...hearts are tricky business, I agree...I 'treated' my self to 2 gorgeous venetian glass hearts in purple, w/ gold foil running thru them...put them on a delicate chain and I have a pair of earrings which I wear often ...HEARTS!!! Hope that all is well in the land of the Olympics...:))
ReplyDelete:) I hope I win! That is my birthday and would make it one to remember. Forever! lol
ReplyDeleteI love these hearts; I think the black and white one should be on a very simple leather cord.
ReplyDeleteA lovely heart.
